Eligibility Criteria for CERN Doctoral Student Program

Applicants must hold citizenship in a CERN Member State to be eligible for the program.
Candidates should be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at a university or be in the process of enrolling.
The proposed thesis work should be directly relevant to CERN and contribute to the candidate’s PhD degree requirements.
The PhD degree must be awarded by the candidate’s own university upon successful completion of the program.
Proficiency in both English and French languages is preferred, as they are the primary languages of communication at CERN.
